"Melanie is the best. I can't decide if I should start my review by gushing about how beautiful our photos are or if I should start by gushing about how much we loved spending time with her during our wedding and engagement shoot. Our photos are totally breathtaking - I knew our wedding day was beautiful but I didn't totally understand it until I saw how she captured it. I look at them and I feel like we're in a magazine spread. We're so excited to see more as she finishes them. She's also just a really cool person with a gift for making people feel comfortable! ECK YES! There is nothing I love more than helping support you in creating the wedding experience of your dreams. This may mean you can't imagine a day without 130+ of your closest friends + family, BUT you also would love to have a moment to yourselves. I offer adventure vow experiences as an add-on, so you can still say your vows to each other after hiking to your favorite summit, kayaking to a tiny island, or simply in a field of wildflowers amongst mountains. This option really let's all my big wedding adventure couples still have the best of both worlds.

bsolutely. We’ll talk through your vision together, as part of my role is supporting you in having a day that feels grounded, joyful, and fully present. While my approach is primarily documentary, I offer gentle guidance when it’s helpful, especially during moments like family portraits or couple photos. With over ten years of experience, I’ve learned how to create space where real connection shines through. You’ll never be asked to fake laugh or perform - instead I use natural prompts that keep things easy, relaxed, and true to you.

02. We love documentary, but do you also give guidance if needed?
ost couples choose to have their first logistics call around 1 year to 6 months before their day. I love keeping consistent communication throughout our time together to ensure your planning process feels smooth and supported.
Right after booking, you’ll receive my planning guides along with a vision questionnaire. For full wedding days, I’ll use your responses to create a draft timeline proposal. For elopements, I’ll begin crafting a custom location and experience proposal based on your answers.

03. When will we have our first logistics planning call?
ou will recieve a highlight gallery the week of your wedding with on average 50 - 100 images. Your full gallery is carefully edited by myself and not outsourced. It takes 8 weeks for me to edit and upload the gallery to you. Lots of care and time is put into each and every single photograph during the editing process to deliver to you the highest quality.

04. How long will it take for me to receive my photographs?
y editing style is true to life, timeless, and emotive. I want your photos to feel like you- full of natural tones, real emotion, and the kind of light that brings you right back to the moment.
I artistically edit so your images will stand the test of time. Skin tones are kept natural, colors reflect how your day actually felt, and every gallery is edited to preserve the beauty, intimacy, and honesty of your celebration.

05. How would you describe your editing style?
ES!! It’s truly one of the most fun ways to experience your day. Collections include a fine art album or print credit, giving you a tangible way to preserve your day beyond the screen. Your photographs deserve to live in your hands, not just on your hard drive.
Each album can be fully customized with a curated selection of linen, and leather fabrics. I’ll handle the design process for you, creating a layout that tells your story with intention and emotion.

06. Do you create albums?
make sure to photograph the entire wedding on two cards at once to ensure a backup during the day. Your photographs will be backed up on two different hard drives on my end immediately following your day, and I save your online gallery for two years before it expires. Photographs are precious, and I always recommend that once your gallery is delivered you take the necessary steps to back them up on a hard drive that you own separate from your download on the computer. Additional storage options are available through the Studio.

Finally, your wedding celebrations have arrived!!
After your wedding day, all photographs are stored and backed up to ensure protection.
You'll receive a highlight gallery the week of, with uploads to your online gallery. The culling process begins where the best of the best images are chosen to tell your story.
During the next 8 weeks, I personally edit each of your images myself.
You will receive your gallery within 8 weeks of your wedding to be downloaded, and have access to it for five full years online.
