Located in the heart of the Lake Placid town center, Mirror Lake lives up to its name with incredibly calm waters that create perfect reflections, especially in the early morning.

Weddings at Whiteface Mountain can cost anywhere between $500 – $4,500, depending on your wedding plans and the number of guests. And, because it is one of the most popular mountain peaks in New York, the trails around Whiteface can get crowded. The Whiteface Mountains are stunning, but if you’re looking for dramatic views without the crowds, I recommend considering some of the lesser-known peaks in the High Peaks region.
Indian Head & Rainbow Falls | Keene Valley, NY
Total Distance: 10.8-miles
Indian Head is one of my favorite elopement locations in the Adirondacks for adventurous couples who don’t mind a challenging hike. On your way to the summit, you’ll pass by Rainbow Falls, which makes for such a dreamy little photo stop on either the way up or down. Once you reach the top, the views are absolutely insane – panoramic vistas stretching out in every direction that will completely take your breath away. Fair warning, though – this is a more challenging hike, and it’s super popular, especially during fall foliage season. If this trail is calling to you, I’d recommend planning your elopement during the week to avoid weekend crowds.
Cascade Mountain | Lake Placid, NY
Total Distance: 4.8-miles
Cascade Mountain is another incredible Adirondack mountain elopement location with a rewarding summit that’s challenging but totally doable for most couples. The 360-degree views make it feel like you’re on top of the world.
Ampersand Mountain | Saranac Lake, NY
Total Distance: 5.3-miles
Ampersand Mountain Trail offers some jaw-dropping High Peaks views without quite as many crowds as some of the more popular summits. This is a harder trail with some steeper sections, so you’ll want to come prepared for a climb, but the payoff at the top is absolutely worth it. This little park offers absolutely incredible panoramic mountain views right off the side of the road and it even has a pavilion that would work beautifully for a small ceremony. It’s perfect for couples who want to include family members who might not be up for a big hike. If you’re considering eloping at this location, just know that lodging in Newcomb might take a little planning since it’s a smaller town, but there are some lovely Airbnbs in the surrounding areas that would also work beautifully.
Heart Lake | Elba, NY
Total Distance: 1.1-miles
Heart Lake is a gorgeous spot where you can stay or camp at the Adirondack Loj and wake up to stunning mountain and lake views right outside your door.
